Over 60s Fitness with Gemma Pearce Fitness

Updated: May 22, 2023

I'm Gemma Pearce, a group exercise instructor specialising in fitness classes for older adults. With my Level 3 Exercise for Older Adults and Level 4 Postural Stability qualifications, I'm all about creating safe and effective workouts that are designed for women in their 60s and 70s and even 80s!

We focus on building strength, boosting flexibility, and improving balance – all while having a blast!

You can do my classes face to face around Abingdon and Didcot – at Long Furlong Community Centre and at Steventon and Chilton Village Halls. Alternatively, you can join my classes online anywhere in the world!

On my regular timetable, you’ll find Zumba Gold, Gentle Pilates, low impact aerobics and Lift light hand weight classes, plus one off more specialist classes.

My Level 3 Exercise for Older Adults qualification ensures that our workouts are safe, effective, and tailored to address common concerns like joint health, osteoporosis, and arthritis.

And let's not forget about balance and stability. With my Level 4 Postural Stability qualification, I'll help you enhance your coordination and confidence, reducing the risk of falls and making daily activities a breeze.

I've worked hard to cultivate an environment where you'll feel supported, motivated, and part of a close-knit fitness family. We'll have a great time together as we work towards our fitness goals, and I'll always adapt the workouts to accommodate everyone's abilities and fitness levels.

By joining my specialised fitness classes, you'll experience a world of benefits:

Boosted strength and flexibility: Together, we'll build those muscles, improve your joint flexibility, and enhance your overall physical performance. Say hello to an active and independent lifestyle!

Enhanced balance and coordination: With targeted exercises and techniques, we'll improve your balance and coordination, giving you the confidence to tackle everyday activities with ease.

Social connections and friendship: Let's face it, exercising is way more fun when we're doing it together. My classes are an opportunity for you to meet like-minded individuals, forge new friendships, and create a strong support system.

Improved overall well-being: Physical activity has a ripple effect on our mental health, cognitive function, and general well-being. Get ready for a healthier mind and body!
