Does housework count as exercise?

We all know that staying active is essential, especially as we age gracefully! But does housework count as exercise? Let's find out!

While housework may not replace a full-on exercise routine, it's not all wasted effort! Those tasks like vacuuming, mopping, and scrubbing do involve movement and can get those muscles working. It's just that they might not be intense or long enough to give us a full-fledged workout.

Ramp up the intensity - vacuum with energy, dance your way through dusting, and tackle tasks with a skip in your step. Let your heart rate rise a bit!

As you go about your housework, pay attention to your posture and engage your core muscles. It's like a mini-workout for your stability and balance. Stand tall, engage those abs, and feel the burn!

While housework can keep us moving, it's important to also make time for dedicated exercise. Whether it's a daily walk, a fun dance fitness class, or even some gentle yoga, put aside some time for activities that specifically focus on keeping us fit and fabulous.

So while it may not replace a proper workout, housework can still keep us active and staying active is the best thing we can do for our health!
