Pilates Testimonials

"Gemma’s Tuesday night Pilates classes really are a highlight of my week. I was initially a bit nervous going along to my first class, thinking that everyone would be super fit and ‘bendy’, but right from the start Gemma encouraged me to work at my own pace and level of fitness; she genuinely wants the exercises to work for you, so she takes time to observe and make suggestions to help you get the most out of each class. I can honestly say that the class leaves me feeling refreshed and invigorated each week, which is a real testament to Gemma’s skills as an instructor. One of the things I most like about the class is the fact that Gemma creates a fun atmosphere where you feel comfortable exercising and where you aren’t judged for your body shape or level of fitness; you leave the class having had a bit of a giggle as well as feeling like you really have done your body some good - and I don’t think you can ask for more than that!"

"I’ve been going to your classes for just over a year now and when I look back at how far I have come in that time it’s amazing! From not being to do any kneeling exercises or weight bearing through my wrists, I can now do pretty much everything you throw at us - including those nasty ones!

Having rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, finding a form of exercise that is gentle but effective is not easy. I like that you always have alternatives to offer if the mainstream exercises are too much.

In every class I can do a little bit more, and it hurts a bit less. I really feel the difference - I turn up all creaky and go home feeling like a different person!

Added to this is the great fun that you inject into your classes - that really makes all the difference. I look forward to Tuesday evenings for a laugh as well as a good workout."

"I don't know where I'd be without Gemma's pilates class. I have tried doing some exercises at home but it is just not the same. Her classes are so motivating, friendly and encouraging."
