Pilates

 

Pilates is a class that will help to improve your overall body strength with an emphasis on toning your back and core muscles. It will also help to improve your posture, mobility, flexibility and balance, and is great for those who want to de-stress after a hard day.

 

All the exercises are very simple and easy to follow. Different options are given to ensure a challenging workout that suits you.

All of our classes are MIXED ABILITY and are suitable for all; those brand new to Pilates or those who have some experience of Pilates.

Over the course, we strengthen and tone the abs, back, hips and shoulders, progressing the exercises each week as you improve and get stronger and more flexible. For this reason, Pilates is not a drop-in class and payment is for a block of classes.

Pilates is a fun, safe and effective form of exercise and particularly beneficial for those who suffer from minor lower back pain, tight shoulders or neck strain.

 

Pilates is suitable for everyone - male or female, old or young, fit or unfit - however it is not remedial or diagnostic and our general classes are not designed for those with serious back or neck injuries. If you are having treatment from a doctor or a physiotherapist, please obtain medical approval before coming along and consider Gentle Pilates or a 1-2-1 Pilates session..

 

Unfortunately our classes are not suitable for pregnant women - why not have a 1-2-1 Pregnancy Pilates session instead.
