What will we do at Fitness Pilates for Mums & Tots?

We will cover standing Pilates as well as mat work – also some more challenging band work in each session. We will carefully work to develop your core, regain your strength and flexibility, improve your posture and tone up. The session is for all fitness levels and is non-impact core based exercise. The class will last approximately 1 hour.

 

Who will be teaching Fitness Pilates for Mums & Tots?

This class is taught by Gemma, an experienced Pilates instructor who has taken additional qualifications to teach pregnancy and post-natal exercise classes.

What if my baby cries? Or my toddler crawls off?

It doesn't matter! Literally anything goes - we all know we can't plan much when it comes to babies and toddlers however we plan for chaos!

If you need to stop an exercise to see to your baby, that's fine!

If your baby cries or your toddler crawls off, that's fine!

If you need to change your baby, that's fine!

If you need to feed your baby, that's fine!

If possible, we recommend feeding them just before the class (although we know that babies and toddlers don't always work to your timetable). If you are breastfeeding this will also make you a little more comfortable!

 

What should I bring?

Bring a mat for yourself and anything you might need for your baby - their playmat, toys, snacks etc

When can I start?
You can join the class as soon as you’ve had the all clear from your GP in your postnatal check - usually around 6 - 8 weeks depending on your GP. Mums who have delivered by C-Section sometimes prefer to wait a few weeks longer, and I would suggest waiting 10 – 12 weeks. If you are unsure, contact us to discuss. However, we're not just for new Mums - Mums of toddlers, Dads, Grandmas, carers are all welcome with children.

How do I book?

 

Get in touch to reserve a place at a free trial class.

 

Classes run in terms - you can join the classes at any point in the year, paying for the remainder of the classes left in that term. Click on the link below to book.
